The Escape Plan is a melee weapon for the Soldier. It is a weathered and well-used pickaxe. This weapon does standard melee damage, and like the Equalizer, blocks healing while active. As the user's health decreases, they move faster. At less than 13 health, they move at a speed same to the Scout. While this weapon is active, the user will take mini-crits, encouraging users to run with this weapon instead of using it as an ambush weapon. This works similarly to the Gloves of Running Urgently for the Heavy, though the rewards are better (moving much faster) and the risks are higher (health has to be less then half to be semi-effective).
