"Stand... On... The... Point, Numbnuts!"
The Soldier

Control points (also known as capture points or simply points) are used as the main objective in Control Point, Territorial Control, and King of the Hill maps, and a secondary objective in Arena maps. In appearance, they are circular metallic platforms with a team-colored light in the center with their team logo hologrammed above it (neutral points will have a white light and a question mark above them). When stood on by a player, the Control Point will begin to be claimed by the team the player belongs to and if more players from that team stand on the point it will be claimed faster by a multiplier of 1 (I.E. 7 players would equal a x7 capture rate). However, if a single enemy player stands on the point it will completely halt the claiming and until they are removed from said point it cannot be claimed by either side. Most maps including a control point have 2 or more control points that need to be defended by RED team and attacked by BLU team. 1 minute of set-up time will be allowed where RED team can set up defenses against BLU team. ÜberCharge is charged at a much faster rate during this "grace" period allowing both teams to strategize much more efficiently against each other.
